Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Project Control Officer include participating in the annual assessment and planning cycle, reviewing project agreements for conformity with operational plans, assisting in the formulation of performance monitoring plans, and developing direct implementation monitoring plans. The incumbent will track project and direct implementation risks, analyze financial and performance reports, and ensure expenditure aligns with approved budgets. Additionally, the role involves conducting reviews of partners' internal control systems, providing input on identified risks, supporting project closure processes, and maintaining professional relationships with partners and contractors. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of international auditing standards and workflows of major Enterprise Resource Planning financial modules. Essential qualifications include a good knowledge of financial auditing, project monitoring, and data collection and analysis. The role requires excellent reporting skills and a solid foundation in monitoring and evaluation practices. Candidates should demonstrate accountability, client orientation, and a commitment to continuous learning, as well as effective communication and organizational awareness skills.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an undergraduate degree in fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Management, or other relevant disciplines. Candidates with a graduate degree or doctorate in these fields may also be considered, particularly if they have relevant experience. Additional certifications in accounting, auditing, or finance (such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent) are essential for this role.
