Job Overview: The Fishery Officer position is integral to the Fisheries and Aquaculture Division at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. The officer will support the implementation of FAO's Strategic Programmes, particularly focusing on Blue Transformation, equitable access for small-scale producers, and sustainable food systems. The role involves contributing to the design and implementation of fisheries management plans that ensure sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources. The Fishery Officer will work at global, regional, and national levels, assisting member states and partners in enhancing their fisheries management capabilities, especially concerning small-scale fisheries.
