Job Overview:
The Digital Engagement Analyst will work under the supervision of the Donor Engagement Officer in the Private Partnerships Division. This role is crucial for supporting UNRWA's Digital Fundraising activities through various responsibilities, including data reporting and visualizations, technical integrations, and donor segmentation. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing income from Individual Giving fundraising, producing regular and ad-hoc reports on fundraising KPIs, and tracking performance across multiple fundraising channels such as Mailchimp, Google Ads, and Meta Ads. The role also involves optimizing the donor journey by monitoring website performance and providing recommendations based on user flow and conversion rates. The analyst will manage donor segmentation within the CRM to support personalized communications and collaborate with fundraising and content teams to refine segmented campaigns. Additionally, the analyst will provide strategic recommendations to improve donor acquisition, retention, and engagement, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across key platforms. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements, as well as the ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and compelling manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Digital Engagement Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
  • Fundraising Income Analysis & Reporting: Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on income from Individual Giving fundraising, producing regular and ad-hoc reports on fundraising KPIs such as donor acquisition and retention rates, and other performance metrics for key donor segments.
  • Digital Performance & Channel Tracking: Tracking and analyzing performance across various fundraising channels, including Mailchimp, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and the donation website. Monitoring website performance metrics such as conversions, user flow, and drop-off rates, and providing recommendations to optimize the donor journey. Measuring and evaluating the performance of creative content to identify which formats and messages drive the strongest outcomes, and assessing campaign performance against objectives to highlight opportunities for optimization.
  • Donor Segmentation & Journey Personalization: Managing donor segmentation within the CRM and related platforms to support personalized communications and donor journeys, collaborating with fundraising and content teams to test and refine segmented campaigns.
  • Data Interpretation & Recommendations: Providing regular updates and presentations to internal stakeholders to inform decision-making, and offering strategic recommendations to improve donor acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Systems & Technical Integrations: Supporting technical integrations across key platforms (Salesforce, Mailchimp, Google Ads, analytics tools) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and interoperability.
  • Financial Planning & Administration: Assisting the department with budget development and income/cost forecasting, and supporting billing processes for external partners to ensure timely reconciliation.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a set of qualifications that include:
  • Analytical expertise: The ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights is essential.
  • Technical proficiency: Candidates should be skilled in Salesforce, Mailchimp, Google Analytics (GA4), Excel, and Power BI, with familiarity in digital advertising metrics and APIs considered an advantage.

  • Attention to detail: Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail in reporting and communicating data.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business management, economics, information systems, engineering, general sciences, or a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of the role and effectively contributing to the organization's objectives.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required for this position. Candidates must have experience in analyzing fundraising analytics data, which is critical for the role's responsibilities and expectations. This experience will enable the analyst to effectively monitor and report on fundraising performance and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Languages:
For this job opening, proficiency in English and Arabic is required. English is the working language of the United Nations Secretariat, and candidates must demonstrate a minimum of UN Level III proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Arabic is also required at the same proficiency level. Knowledge of French is considered an asset but is not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a Limited Duration Contract (LDC), Band E, initially for one year with the possibility of extension based on the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need. The monthly basic salary for this position is JD 897.00, and other benefits include compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and a dependency allowance if applicable. Additionally, employees are entitled to 2 days of sick leave for each complete month of service and 12 weeks of maternity leave. The job opening is open to both internal and external candidates, but only those residing in Jordan and within commuting distance of the duty station with authorization to work in Jordan are eligible to apply. The agency will not facilitate the issuance of work permits, and candidates must have a valid work permit at the time of application. Preference will be given to registered Palestine refugees and candidates who assist the agency in achieving gender parity.
