Job Overview:
The Investor Engagement Analyst position is integral to the UNDP Rome Centre's mission of promoting sustainable development through effective investor engagement and partnership building. Under the direct supervision of the Sustainable Finance and Investment Specialist, the Analyst will be responsible for maintaining relationships with investors and partners, coordinating events, conducting market research, and managing core tools that track project pipelines and engagement history. The role requires a proactive approach to support the mobilization of climate finance and enhance the visibility of youth-led climate initiatives. The Analyst will engage with various stakeholders, including Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), philanthropic partners, and commercial banks, to facilitate investment in climate-related projects. This position is crucial for ensuring that UNDP's objectives in climate finance and youth engagement are met, contributing to the broader goals of sustainable development and climate action.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Investor Engagement Analyst will undertake a variety of duties, including: 1) Supporting investor and partner engagement by maintaining an updated contact list, tracking engagements, preparing background notes and meeting briefs, and managing partner-facing materials. 2) Coordinating events, deal rooms, and roundtables, including logistics management, preparation of documents, and onsite facilitation. 3) Conducting partner research and market intelligence to identify financing opportunities and prepare concise briefs. 4) Managing core tools to track project pipeline information, financier profiles, engagement history, and documentation. 5) Monitoring activities to track progress and results, providing monthly reports, and contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives. The Analyst will also perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Investor Engagement Analyst position should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. They should demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to teamwork and respect for diversity. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. Candidates should also have a strong understanding of operations relevant to UNDP and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders, particularly in senior positions.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, international relations, environmental studies, or a related field is required for the Investor Engagement Analyst position. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may enhance a candidate's competitiveness for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in investor relations, partnership management, or project coordination, preferably within an international development context. Experience in climate finance, sustainable development, or working with multilateral organizations is highly desirable. Familiarity with the UN system and its operations will be an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the working language of UNDP. Proficiency in Italian or other languages relevant to the region is considered an asset and may enhance communication with local stakeholders and partners.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Rome, Italy, and is classified as a UN Volunteer role. The contract duration and specific terms of engagement will be outlined in the offer. The role is full-time, and candidates should be prepared to engage in a dynamic and multicultural work environment. Compensation includes a monthly living allowance, entry lump sum, exit allowance, and medical and life insurance. Leave entitlements include annual leave, certified sick leave, and learning leave, among others. The UN Volunteer entitlements are designed to support a secure standard of living at the duty station.
