Job Overview:
The Analyst position at WJCF is designed to support the Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, and Newborn Health (SRMNH) program. The Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing data-driven decision-making processes, generating insights, and contributing to the development of high-quality program materials and analyses. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets, synthesizing information into actionable recommendations. The Analyst will support various workstreams across both Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) domains, assisting in the preparation of dashboards, reports, presentations, and research products. The overarching goal is to expand access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services and strengthen maternal and newborn care across India, addressing the entire continuum of care from reproductive health to safe pregnancy and newborn care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Providing analytical and programmatic support across SRMNH initiatives, which involves cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from multiple health information systems and sources.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards, and monitoring tools to track program performance at various levels.
  • Conducting primary and secondary research, including desk reviews, policy analysis, and stakeholder interviews, to generate evidence and identify gaps in service delivery, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Supporting monitoring and evaluation activities by designing tools, surveys, and frameworks to assess intervention impact and capture user feedback.
  • Assisting in synthesizing quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable recommendations, reports, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to project management by coordinating implementation plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including government counterparts, partners, and donors, to strengthen collaboration and support strategic initiatives.
  • Assessing supply chain and market dynamics for SRH and MNCH products and supporting strategies to improve availability and access.
  • Supporting the testing of innovative service delivery models and digital health interventions to enhance uptake of SRH and MNCH services. 1
  • Providing operational support for planning, organizing meetings, and documenting program activities. 1
  • Assisting in scoping new opportunities and developing proposals or pitch documents in SRMNH and allied areas.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, management, or population studies, with at least 1+ year of experience. A high level of technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word is essential, and experience using advanced analytical tools is a plus. Candidates should have the ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information, including technical information, and prepare compelling presentations and reports. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Hindi are required, along with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Familiarity with the Indian public health system and experience working with government stakeholders will be advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates who have pursued postgraduate studies in areas such as public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, management, or population studies. The emphasis is on candidates who have a solid foundation in health-related disciplines and possess analytical skills that can be applied to public health challenges.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 1+ year of experience for those with a postgraduate degree. Experience in roles that involve data analysis, program support, or public health initiatives is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Indian public health system and experience working with government stakeholders will be considered a significant advantage, as the role involves collaboration with various health authorities and organizations.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with stakeholders and the preparation of reports and presentations will be essential. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered beneficial but is not required.
