Job Overview:
The Communication Officer plays a crucial role in supporting UNICEF's regional advocacy and communication strategy. This position involves planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating communication projects and initiatives. The officer will manage and expand UNICEF's social and digital media platforms to raise awareness about children's and women's issues, strengthen political will, and enhance UNICEF's credibility and brand. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Communication Officer's duties include providing communication support for regional and global priorities, particularly focusing on polio and vaccination. Responsibilities involve overseeing the production of advocacy materials, maintaining databases of communication resources, and drafting articles and press releases. The officer will develop and maintain media relations, ensuring timely dissemination of information and collaboration with journalists. Monitoring and evaluating communication strategies and materials, as well as engaging with partners and organizing events to promote UNICEF's goals, are also key responsibilities. The officer will contribute to audience research and analyze data to inform communication strategies, ensuring that UNICEF's messaging resonates with target audiences.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. A minimum of two years of practical professional experience in communication, particularly in digital, broadcast, or multimedia contexts, is required. Familiarity with emergency situations is considered an asset. Fluency in both English and French is mandatory, as effective communication in these languages is essential for the role.

Educational Background:

Experience:
