Job Overview:
The National UNV Information Management Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Planning and Monitoring Officer in the PMR Section of UNICEF Bangladesh. This role involves supporting data collection and information management for UNICEF's programs, ensuring compliance and engagement from all partners in the reporting platform. The officer will develop a master database for indicators, collaborate with various UNICEF programs on data collection, and provide training to colleagues and partners on reporting tools and data quality assurance. The position also entails conducting gap analyses for program preparedness, maintaining a database of relevant information, and developing data visualization products to aid decision-making and humanitarian response. The officer will be responsible for ensuring that data collection processes are efficient and that quality data is available for program monitoring and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National UNV Information Management Officer will undertake several key tasks, including: supporting data collection and information management for UNICEF's programs; developing an indicator-wise master database; collaborating with UNICEF programs and information management officers on field data; providing structured training on reporting tools and data quality; conducting gap analyses for program preparedness; maintaining a database of relevant information; conducting and analyzing reports of assessments; developing data visualization products; updating data visualization platforms; standardizing and sharing humanitarian response information; liaising with various stakeholders for data verification and coordination; and performing additional duties as assigned. The expected outputs include improved data collection processes, a comprehensive database for program monitoring, and a final statement of achievements related to volunteerism for peace and development.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management and visualization tools, and experience in information management within humanitarian contexts. They should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders, possess excellent communication skills, and have a commitment to UNICEF's mission and values. Familiarity with the reporting platform InForm and experience in training others on data management practices are highly desirable. The candidate should also be adaptable and able to work in challenging environments, particularly in humanitarian settings.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, statistics, information management, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in data management or humanitarian response are advantageous. Candidates should have a solid understanding of data collection methodologies and information management systems, as well as experience in using data visualization tools such as Power BI.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in information management, data analysis, or related fields, preferably within a humanitarian or development context. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the area of child rights and protection, is highly valued. The ability to demonstrate a track record of successful data management and reporting in complex environments is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Bengali is an asset, as it will facilitate communication with local partners and stakeholders. Additional languages relevant to the region may also be beneficial.
