Job Overview: The Project Assistant (Operations) position is integral to the successful implementation of the Helios+ project, which aims to facilitate the integration of third-country nationals into the labor market in Greece. The successful candidate will work closely with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to provide essential support services. This role involves direct interaction with beneficiaries, requiring the candidate to establish trust and rapport while assisting with interpretation and cultural mediation. The Project Assistant will also be responsible for responding to inquiries via the project’s helpline, identifying issues, and ensuring effective communication between beneficiaries and project staff. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Assistant (Operations) include:
Providing interpretation and translation services to beneficiaries, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Making initial contact with beneficiaries to establish a respectful and trusting relationship.
Assisting with cultural mediation to help beneficiaries navigate the local context.
Responding to calls received on the project’s helpline, documenting inquiries, and reporting new issues to the Project Assistant (Operations).
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with beneficiaries, stakeholders, and other humanitarian actors to facilitate project implementation.
Identifying barriers that prevent beneficiaries from accessing services and reporting these gaps.
Translating documents and informational materials for dissemination to beneficiaries.
Assisting in mediation activities in collaboration with IOM staff, ensuring objectivity and impartiality.
Providing general assistance to project staff during activities at HELIOS+ Centers and other locations as required. 1

Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Project Assistant (Operations) position should possess a combination of relevant skills and qualifications, including:
A high school degree or certificate with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
A university degree from an accredited institution is considered an advantage.
Previous work experience in a similar role, particularly in a multicultural environment, is preferred.
A valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience is advantageous.
A strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles are essential for this role.
Educational Background: Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent certification. A university degree from an accredited academic institution is preferred, particularly in fields related to social sciences, international relations, or humanitarian work.
