Job Overview: The Project Assistant (Employability) will play a crucial role in supporting the integration of third-country nationals into the labor market in Greece, particularly in the Region of Central Macedonia. This position is part of the 'Helios+: Comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labour market' project, which aims to enhance the employability of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection. The successful candidate will work closely with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to facilitate employability support, provide Greek language courses, and promote social cohesion. The role involves direct interaction with beneficiaries, helping them navigate the labor market and access job opportunities, while also ensuring that they receive the necessary support and resources to enhance their employability.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at supporting labor market integration. Key duties include:
Conducting individual and group career counseling sessions to assist beneficiaries in their job search.
Mapping potential employers and identifying job vacancies that align with the skills and qualifications of beneficiaries.
Identifying opportunities for collaboration with private sector entities to enhance employability.
Connecting beneficiaries with job opportunities and providing guidance on application processes.
Organizing workshops, seminars, and events focused on employability and labor market access.
Advising beneficiaries on necessary documentation, such as driving licenses and language certificates, to improve their employment prospects.
Ensuring accurate data entry and maintaining quality physical archiving of Means of Verification.
Performing additional duties as assigned by the Project Team Lead or Project Assistant.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree or higher in fields such as Business Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Education, Economics, or related areas. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required. Additionally, a postgraduate degree or relevant training in career counseling is considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate a strong combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred, highlighting the importance of adaptability and cultural sensitivity in this role.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Education, or Economics. Candidates with a postgraduate degree or specialized training in career counseling will have an advantage.
