Job Overview: The primary objective of this position is to ensure the relevance and quality of the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) portfolio of SI in Yemen. The role involves developing a pertinent FSL strategy that responds to the local context and needs, enhancing quality elements within the FSL programs, and integrating cross-cutting programmatic subjects such as protection perspectives, environmental considerations, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and information management. The position also entails steering and leading the technical follow-up of the existing portfolio, addressing challenges such as reduced humanitarian funding and the need for strategic investments to ensure the sustainability of the mission. The first few months will focus on implementing a new EU delegation livelihood project, developing key investments and studies, and reinforcing the integration of priority crosscutting elements.

Ensuring the pertinence and quality of the FSL portfolio in Yemen.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive FSL strategy that aligns with the context and needs of the affected populations.
Leading the technical follow-up of existing FSL programs and ensuring their quality and effectiveness.
Collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance program quality and integrate cross-cutting themes.
Managing the implementation of new projects, particularly in the livelihood sector, and ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
Conducting studies and analyses to inform programmatic approaches and develop concept notes for potential funding opportunities.
Engaging in strategic partnerships with local and international actors to enhance program reach and impact.
Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and making necessary adjustments to improve effectiveness.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar position, demonstrating expertise in cash and livelihood project implementation.
Proven experience in developing studies, analyses, and concept notes for development donors.
Solid experience in livelihood programming and enhancing program quality.
Advanced communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work under tight deadlines in challenging environments.
