Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the External Relations and Communications Specialist include:
Content Production & Communication Delivery: Developing high-quality stories, features, videos, and social media content; maintaining an active content pipeline from provinces and partners; producing visually appealing communication products; ensuring accuracy and timeliness of field documentation.
Social Media Management & Digital Campaigning: Planning, drafting, and scheduling social media posts; designing and implementing digital campaigns; analyzing engagement metrics; supporting digital safety messaging; maintaining updated content on the UNFPA website.
Donor Visibility & External Relations Support: Serving as the primary contact for donor visibility; developing donor-specific stories and visibility packages; coordinating donor field visits; documenting program results; providing logistical support for major events; conducting media scanning and compiling summaries.
Internal Support & Knowledge Management: Maintaining photo and video archives; supporting knowledge-sharing across teams; training partners in storytelling and documentation; performing other related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to produce high-quality content for diverse audiences. Proficiency in digital media tools and social media platforms is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning. Experience in public relations, communications, or a related field is highly desirable.
