Job Overview:
The position of Individual Consultant for Identification and Development of Distribution Channels for Prespa Products is crucial for enhancing the market reach and sales of local products from the Prespa region. The consultant will be responsible for identifying potential distribution channels, developing strategies to penetrate these markets, and ensuring that the products are effectively marketed to the target audience. This role requires a deep understanding of the local market dynamics, consumer behavior, and distribution logistics. The consultant will work closely with local producers and stakeholders to create a sustainable distribution framework that supports the growth of Prespa products. The assignment is expected to take place from January 2026 to May 2026, and the consultant will need to submit proposals directly through the UNDP supplier portal.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a comprehensive market analysis to identify potential distribution channels for Prespa products.
  • Develop a strategic plan for the identification and engagement of distributors and retailers.
  • Collaborate with local producers to understand their needs and capabilities.
  • Create marketing materials and strategies to promote Prespa products effectively.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders in the distribution network.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the distribution channels and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide training and support to local producers on best practices for product distribution.
  • Prepare detailed reports on progress and outcomes of the distribution strategy implementation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in market analysis and development of distribution channels.
  • Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, particularly in local products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for market research and communication.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is required. A master's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline would be an advantage. Additional certifications in project management or supply chain management are also beneficial.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in market development, distribution strategy, or consultancy roles is required. Experience working with local producers or in rural development projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Prespa region and its products will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Macedonian or Albanian is considered an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and producers.
