Job Overview: The Senior Radiology Coordinator will be responsible for managing the IOM Teleradiology Center in Manila, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and human resources are adequate for the smooth and uninterrupted provision of services to IOM and non-IOM panel sites. The role involves overseeing that all IOM radiological examinations and image readings are conducted in accordance with international and migrant-receiving country technical standards. The coordinator will also manage the IOM Teleradiology Quality Control (QC) Programme, which includes developing and updating QC protocols and guidelines, analyzing QC outcomes, and providing consolidated reports and recommendations to relevant internal units and partner operations. Additionally, the coordinator will collaborate with various units to enhance radiology modules and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) within the IOM Medical IT framework, contributing to improved efficiency and quality across Health Assessment Programme (HAP) radiology facilities. The position requires providing expert advice on radiology-related matters, conducting audit visits, participating in global projects, and designing training programs to strengthen radiology capacity among IOM and partner staff.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a degree in medicine or a university degree in medicine with specialization in radiology, along with nine years of relevant professional experience focusing on chest radiology and tuberculosis screening. A Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or a related field is advantageous. Professional board certification to practice diagnostic radiology is required, along with an up-to-date license. Knowledge and experience in health/radiology program implementation, resource mobilization, quality management, and budget planning are essential. Candidates should demonstrate experience in managing chest radiology programs, Teleradiology systems, and international health programs, particularly in relation to migration health.
Educational Background: The position requires a Doctor of Medicine degree or a university degree in Medicine from an accredited institution, with specialization in radiology. An additional Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or a related field is considered an advantage. Professional board certification in diagnostic radiology is mandatory, along with a current license to practice.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of nine years of relevant professional experience, particularly in chest radiology, tuberculosis screening, and management. Experience in implementing, analyzing, and evaluating health/radiology programs is crucial, as is knowledge of resource mobilization and quality management. Demonstrated experience in managing Teleradiology systems and international health programs, especially related to migration health, is required. Familiarity with IOM's administrative and financial practices is also beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position, both oral and written. Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, or French) is an advantage. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
Additional Notes: The position is a fixed-term contract for one year, with the possibility of extension. It is classified at the P-4 grade level and is a professional recruitment type. The role requires international mobility, and candidates must be medically fit for appointment. The selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations, and recommended candidates will remain eligible for appointment for 24 months.
