Job Overview:
The Team Assistant position is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Programme Office in Ukraine, specifically within the Cyber Crime Global Programme. The incumbent will provide general office support services, contributing to the day-to-day implementation of the cybercrime programme. This role involves assisting in planning and executing various activities, including financial, procurement, and administrative processes. The Team Assistant will coordinate work with national counterparts from public and private sectors, as well as academic institutions, to facilitate the development and evaluation of the Cybercrime Programme. The position requires maintaining specific aspects of programme development, reviewing documents, and identifying issues that need addressing. The incumbent will also assist in organizing workshops and training sessions, proofreading written outputs, and performing various administrative duties to support the office's operations. Overall, the Team Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with UN procedures and frameworks while supporting the preparation and analysis of programme budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Team Assistant include providing general office support services to ensure the smooth functioning of the office, contributing to the implementation of the cybercrime programme, and supporting planning and implementation of activities. The incumbent will coordinate work with national counterparts, maintain aspects of programme development, assist in various assignments, proofread written outputs, perform administrative duties, compile data from various sources, draft correspondence, ensure compliance with UN procedures, assist in budget preparation, maintain files and databases, manage calendars, arrange meetings, assist with data collection and analysis, and perform other work-related duties as assigned. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication skills to liaise with various organizational units and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. A first-level university degree or higher can reduce the minimum work experience requirement to zero years. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of work experience in general office support, administration, programme or operations support service, or a related field. Experience in contract administration, recruitment, financial management, procurement, or budget monitoring is desirable. Additionally, work experience in the United Nations system or a similar international organization is preferred, along with familiarity with SAP-based applications.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with a first-level university degree or higher will have their work experience requirement waived, allowing them to apply without prior experience in the field. This educational requirement ensures that candidates possess the foundational knowledge necessary for the administrative and operational tasks associated with the role.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in general office support, administration, or related fields. However, this requirement is waived for those who hold a first-level university degree or higher. Desirable experience includes contract administration, recruitment, financial management, procurement, or budget monitoring. Additionally, experience within the United Nations system or similar international organizations is advantageous, as is familiarity with SAP-based applications, which are often used for administrative and financial processes.

Languages:
For this position, English is the required working language, as it is one of the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication and documentation. Knowledge of Ukrainian is desirable, as it may facilitate interactions with local stakeholders and counterparts.
