Job Overview: The IC– Coordinator for the Inclusive Digital Health for Development Facility is responsible for overseeing the implementation of digital health initiatives that promote inclusivity and accessibility in health services. This role involves coordinating various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to ensure that digital health solutions are effectively integrated into existing health systems. The coordinator will also be expected to monitor and evaluate the impact of these initiatives, ensuring that they align with UNDP's goals of promoting equitable health access. The position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex health landscapes and advocate for inclusive policies that benefit marginalized populations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the IC– Coordinator include:
Leading the planning and execution of digital health projects aimed at enhancing health service delivery for underserved communities.
Collaborating with local and international partners to develop and implement inclusive digital health strategies.
Conducting assessments to identify gaps in health service delivery and proposing innovative digital solutions.
Monitoring project progress and outcomes, ensuring alignment with UNDP's objectives and reporting on key performance indicators.
Facilitating training and capacity-building workshops for stakeholders on digital health tools and practices.
Engaging with policymakers to advocate for inclusive health policies and practices.
Preparing detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, including UNDP management and external partners.
Managing project budgets and ensuring financial accountability.
Staying updated on global trends in digital health and incorporating best practices into project design and implementation.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in public health, digital health, or a related field. A proven track record of managing health projects, particularly those focused on inclusivity and accessibility, is essential. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders are required. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have experience in policy advocacy related to health services.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or digital health are advantageous. Candidates with relevant academic qualifications from recognized institutions will be preferred.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in health program management, with a focus on digital health initiatives. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of UNDP or similar agencies, is highly desirable. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and project coordination is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both spoken and written. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly local languages spoken in India, is considered an asset and will enhance communication with diverse communities.
Additional Notes: This position is offered as a four-month contract under the Individual Contractor (IC) procurement process. The role is expected to be full-time, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and funding availability. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
