Job Overview:
The Roving Supply Chain Team Leader position is a critical role within the Danish Refugee Council, primarily focused on implementing logistics, fleet, asset, and warehouse management in accordance with DRC policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to coordinating and administering contracts for rental vehicles and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security guard services. The Team Leader will also play a vital role in supporting and training supply chain personnel at various field offices, ensuring that capacity building and performance improvements are achieved. The role involves significant travel to field offices, where the Team Leader will assess and enhance the operational capabilities of the supply chain teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all logistics operations are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with donor regulations, thereby contributing to the overall success of DRC's humanitarian mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Roving Supply Chain Team Leader will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: leading and managing the supply chain team, ensuring effective planning and implementation of logistics activities, monitoring office functionality, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes. The Team Leader will develop and maintain databases, manage procurement and farmwork agreements, assist in recruitment and training, and coordinate with program staff to ensure logistics involvement throughout the program cycle. Additionally, the role includes overseeing vehicle fleet management, optimizing logistics operations, conducting audits and risk assessments, and ensuring timely reporting from field offices. The Team Leader will also facilitate asset disposal processes and work closely with Area Managers to establish framework agreements with reliable suppliers.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Roving Supply Chain Team Leader position must possess a minimum of three years of relevant working experience in a similar role, preferably within an international humanitarian organization. A strong understanding of procurement rules and regulations from major international donors is essential. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, along with full professional proficiency in English. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, and a commitment to upholding DRC's core values and ethical standards.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required for this position. Relevant certifications or licenses in logistics or supply chain management will be considered an asset. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in the principles and practices of supply chain management, enabling the candidate to effectively manage logistics operations in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of working experience in a similar supply chain role, with a strong emphasis on field experience. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in international humanitarian organizations, demonstrating their ability to navigate the complexities of supply chain management in challenging environments. Experience with procurement processes and compliance with donor regulations is crucial, as is familiarity with logistics operations in the context of humanitarian assistance.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Additionally, proficiency in Amharic is required, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of logistics operations in Ethiopia. Candidates who possess additional language skills relevant to the region may have an advantage in the selection process.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position is for a duration of 11 and a half months, contingent upon the availability of funding. The role is classified as a National Contract at Band G, with a designation of Duty Station in Addis Ababa, requiring 25% travel to field offices for roving support.
