Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the WLCG Resource Coordinator include assisting with budget planning and maintaining financial files and databases. You will support the preparation of financial reports and analyses for internal reviews and audits, monitor expenditures, and validate orders to ensure compliance with established procedures. Additionally, you will consolidate and analyze financial data to aid in decision-making processes and help track project deliverables, milestones, and financial planning. This role requires a proactive approach to managing financial resources and ensuring that all financial activities align with CERN's operational goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Finance, General Administration, or a related field. A strong interest in resource planning, financial monitoring, and reporting is essential. Experience in a dynamic research environment, particularly with scientific stakeholders, is highly valued. Familiarity with CERN's budget processes and financial tools will be considered an advantage. Technical competencies include proficiency in accounting tools such as aPT and CET, as well as strong Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, General Administration, or a related field is required. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in financial principles and practices, enabling the candidate to effectively manage budgetary responsibilities and financial analyses.

Experience:
Candidates should have experience in resource planning, financial monitoring, and reporting. Experience working in a research environment with scientific stakeholders is preferred, as it demonstrates the ability to navigate the complexities of financial management in a scientific context. Familiarity with CERN's financial tools and processes is advantageous, indicating a readiness to engage with the organization's specific operational frameworks.

Languages:
