Job Overview:
The position of Learning Designer is crucial for the training program titled 'Foundations of Disability-Inclusive Education Sector Planning' within the broader initiative 'Planning for Inclusive Education. Regional Programme in West Africa.' The Learning Designer will work within a multicultural team and manage hybrid training sessions aimed at participants from low-income countries. The position involves onboarding and implementing training cohorts, providing technical assistance, and ensuring that course materials meet accessibility standards. The Learning Designer will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the training program, making necessary adjustments based on participant feedback and engagement metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Learning Designer will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
  • Onboarding and implementation assistance for Cohort 1, which involves reviewing onboarding materials, translating course materials into three languages, conducting platform testing, and ensuring quality control.
  • Providing technical assistance and support for Cohort 2, which includes updating course materials based on feedback, coordinating with team members, and managing the translation and quality control of course documents.
  • Organizing live sessions, including coordinating with interpreters, creating multilingual materials, and providing technical support during sessions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the course, collecting and analyzing data, and drafting reports on course effectiveness and participant engagement.
  • Ensuring that all course materials meet accessibility standards and liaising with IT teams for any technical issues.
  • Developing additional instructional materials and providing ongoing support to participants and team members throughout the course.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Design and Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field. Candidates must have proven experience of over four years in designing, developing, deploying, and evaluating online, blended, and face-to-face training courses. Additionally, at least two years of experience in using, configuring, and administering the MOODLE learning platform is essential. Candidates should also have experience in managing educational projects from design to evaluation, demonstrating strong project management skills and a deep understanding of learning theories and models.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Instructional Design, Learning Design and Technology, or Educational Technology. This educational background is crucial for understanding the principles of effective learning design and the use of technology in education.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of professional experience in the field of instructional design and educational technology. This experience should include a strong background in developing and implementing training programs, particularly in online and blended learning environments. Languages:
