Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position is designed to support the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme in Nigeria, particularly in the context of the upcoming International Volunteer Day (IVD) and International Volunteer Year (IVY) 202
The selected volunteers will be tasked with producing 100 short videos aimed at raising awareness about IVD and IVY 202
This role requires creativity and collaboration, as volunteers will work closely with the UNV West and Central Africa Communications Team and the UNV Nigeria Field Unit communications team. The videos produced will serve to highlight the contributions of volunteers, promote volunteer stories, and encourage civic participation in volunteer-driven initiatives that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 17, which focuses on partnerships for the goals. Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Online Volunteers include:
Producing 100 short videos that effectively communicate messages related to International Volunteer Day (IVD) and International Volunteer Year (IVY) 202
Developing creative video content that resonates with diverse audiences, ensuring that the storytelling is compelling and engaging.
Collaborating with the UNV communications team to refine video messages and ensure alignment with campaign guidelines.
Sharing finalized video content across personal social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
Utilizing provided information and materials to create impactful visual content that highlights the importance of volunteerism and its contributions to sustainable development.
Participating in regular meetings with the communications team to discuss progress, receive feedback, and make necessary adjustments to the video content.
