Job Overview:
The Senior PSP Individual Giving Associate plays a pivotal role in the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) within UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER). This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize individual giving, which includes securing donations from the general public through various channels such as direct mail, digital fundraising, and face-to-face interactions. The associate will lead a team dedicated to enhancing donor engagement and retention, ensuring that the organization meets its fundraising targets while fostering strong relationships with donors. The role requires strategic planning, effective communication, and a deep understanding of donor motivations to create compelling fundraising campaigns that resonate with potential supporters. The associate will also oversee the management of donor databases, ensuring accurate data entry and analysis to inform fundraising strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior PSP Individual Giving Associate include developing annual plans for donor acquisition and retention, managing donor communications, and supervising fundraising campaigns across various channels. The associate will work closely with marketing agencies to create effective donor journeys and oversee the implementation of campaigns aimed at upgrading and converting donors. Additionally, the associate will draft submissions for funding related to individual giving programs, manage relationships with partners and suppliers, and ensure compliance with UNHCR policies. The role also involves monitoring performance against targets, analyzing donor data, and making recommendations for improvements in donor engagement strategies. The associate will lead the Face to Face fundraising strategy, manage digital fundraising initiatives, and oversee direct mail campaigns, ensuring that all activities align with the organization's objectives and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. A minimum of four years of relevant experience is required for those with a high school diploma, or two years for those with a Bachelor’s degree. Experience in private sector fundraising, client/donor communication, and marketing is essential. Proven experience in donor retention and development programs, as well as in coordinating fundraising campaigns, is also required. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solutions-driven approach are key competencies for this role. Familiarity with fundraising databases and software is highly desirable, along with experience in the non-profit sector and project management.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completion of a high school diploma or a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Candidates with higher educational qualifications are encouraged to apply, as they may be considered favorably. The focus is on candidates who have studied Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields, as these areas provide a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of fundraising and donor engagement.

Experience:

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, with a strong command required both in written and spoken forms. Proficiency in Malay is also required, as it is essential for engaging with local donors and stakeholders. Additional languages are considered a plus, as they can enhance communication with diverse donor bases and partners.
