Job Overview: The PRISM and Quantum PPM Team Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and launch of Project Lifecycle management in PRISM. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that the project lifecycle aligns with UN Women’s Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Policy. The consultant will be responsible for documenting business cases, validating requirements, and ensuring data integrity during migration processes. Additionally, the consultant will facilitate UAT exercises, develop training materials, and provide ongoing support during the initial operational phases of the project. The role emphasizes capacity building and knowledge management to enhance the effectiveness of project management within UN Women.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for several key functions, including:
Collaborating with team members to define and document the business case and specifications for the PRISM project lifecycle.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders to validate requirements and secure necessary approvals.
Partnering with technical experts to ensure the integration of PRISM project modules with UN Women’s ERP system (Quantum).
Developing test scripts and acceptance criteria for UAT, coordinating exercises with regional and country office focal points, and facilitating UAT sessions.
Supporting the preparation and implementation of a structured roll-out plan for project modules, co-developing guidance notes and user guides.
Delivering hands-on training and virtual workshops, providing technical support, and maintaining a shared repository of project materials.
Collecting user feedback post-launch and proposing improvements for future versions of PRISM.
Contributing to bi-weekly status updates and progress reports for the Chief of PSMU.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. A solid understanding of Results Based Management is essential, along with the ability to develop effective management tools for the project lifecycle. The consultant should have in-depth knowledge of project management guidelines and tools, as well as the ability to design, implement, and monitor projects effectively. Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize program performance data into actionable reports are also required. The consultant should demonstrate leadership in formulating strategies and their implementation, ensuring that all deliverables meet organizational standards.
Educational Background: A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political/Development Studies, or a related discipline is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Certifications such as PRINCE2® Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP®), and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP®) Practitioner are considered assets.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project and programme development, strategic planning, coordination support, or change management is required. Candidates should have international development experience, particularly in project management and gender equality at various levels. Technical experience in all aspects of project management, including planning, financial management, and stakeholder engagement, is essential. Experience with data migration and application integration tools is highly desirable, as is prior experience in the UN System.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of additional languages such as French or Spanish, or any other UN official language, is considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This is a home-based consultancy position, with three in-person training sessions required as part of the project module roll-out.
