Job Overview:
The Fund-Raising Officer (Data & Insights) is a pivotal role within UNICEF's Individual Giving team, focusing on the digital transformation of fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for overseeing data management systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor and campaign data. The officer will design and implement data frameworks and dashboards that support acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies. The role requires analyzing donor behavior and campaign performance to generate insights that inform decision-making and drive growth. The officer will collaborate with various teams to enhance the omnichannel donor experience and contribute to UNICEF's ability to grow its unrestricted funding base, respond to opportunities, and sustain long-term development programs. This position is integral to shaping a modern fundraising model aligned with UNICEF's strategic objectives and digital transformation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee database management systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security.
  • Design and implement data frameworks and dashboards for fundraising strategies.
  • Analyze donor behavior and campaign performance to generate actionable insights.
  • Ensure data-driven optimization of fundraising activities with a focus on digital performance.
  • Collaborate with fundraising, digital, and operations teams to enhance data flows across platforms.
  • Maintain data quality and facilitate smooth data integration across platforms.
  • Establish data governance and enable advanced data analytics for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Support scalable, cloud-based data architecture and improve overall data governance.

Required Qualifications:
A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant technical field is required. Additional certifications in database management, data security, or cloud technologies are considered assets. Familiarity with national data protection regulations and global standards is desirable, along with knowledge of data governance frameworks.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a university degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science. Additional certifications in database management or cloud technologies are advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of professional experience in database administration, data analytics, or data management is required. Candidates should have progressively increasing responsibilities, including direct responsibility for database performance and integrity. Experience with relational and non-relational database systems is essential, along with proficiency in applications for data transformation and automation.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language such as Hindi is considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in New Delhi, India, and is open to Indian Nationals and internal candidates with a valid work permit for India. The selected applicant will receive an initial one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
