Job Overview:
The Associate Investment Officer (IO) position within IFC's Public-Private Partnership Transactions Advisory department (CTA) is a critical role that supports the implementation of public-private partnership (PPP) projects. The IO will be responsible for leading various advisory mandates, which include preparing reports, engaging with clients, conducting financial modeling, drafting bidding Terms of Reference, and supervising consultants. This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and the selected candidate will work on projects across the Andean Region and Southern Cone of Latin America, including Panama. The role requires a proactive approach to business development, project scoping, and execution management, ensuring that all aspects of project implementation are effectively coordinated and aligned with IFC's strategic objectives. The IO will also develop expertise in IFC processes and internal systems management, contributing to the overall success of the team and the projects undertaken.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Investment Officer will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting the team in business development by preparing proposals, mandates, marketing documents, and information memorandums; supporting project scoping to assess the feasibility of potential projects and preparing or reviewing financial models and analyses; managing project execution by preparing notes, minutes, presentations, and documentation for internal approval processes and clients; coordinating project implementation with consultants by preparing their Terms of Reference, supervising the hiring process, and ensuring quality control of deliverables; preparing applications for project funding from donors; and closely coordinating with other parts of IFC, including environmental and social, legal, and investment departments. The IO will also be expected to understand the World Bank program for assigned countries and work with them to assess opportunities for PPPs, perform other duties as requested by senior team members, and develop the capacity to manage individual tasks with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Associate Investment Officer position must possess an MBA or an equivalent degree in business, finance, or economics. They should have 4 to 8 years of relevant experience gained from a leading financial institution, specifically in PPP transaction advisory, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, privatization advisory, or private equity. A proven track record in developing financial models in project finance and strong analytical skills are essential. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of public-private partnerships (PPPs) and various structures for engaging private participation in infrastructure service delivery across different markets. Experience with contractual and financial closings of infrastructure transactions, as well as dealing with government clients and multiple stakeholders, is highly desirable. Knowledge of infrastructure sector trends, legal and regulatory requirements will be considered an advantage. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to operate in diverse and geographically dispersed teams are also important, along with the capacity to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Associate Investment Officer position includes an MBA or an equivalent degree in business, finance, or economics. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of financial modeling, project finance, and the economic principles that underpin public-private partnerships and investment strategies.

Experience:
