Job Overview:
The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Finance Coordinator is responsible for directing and coordinating all administrative, accounting, and financial services within the mission. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial balance of the mission while adhering to Solidarités International's procedures, donor requirements, and local laws. The Finance Coordinator acts as the primary point of reference for financial matters and serves as a liaison between the mission and headquarters. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance, as well as the ability to manage a team effectively. The Finance Coordinator will also be involved in socio-economic analysis, cash management, and maintaining relationships with national authorities, ensuring that the mission operates smoothly and efficiently in a challenging environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Coordinator's duties include conducting socio-economic analyses to identify administrative partners and monitor exchange rates and prices. They will manage a team by defining personnel needs, recruiting team members, training and appraising the financial team, and leading team meetings. Financial management responsibilities encompass defining expenditure cycles, consolidating and verifying monthly accounts, preparing financial programming, and linking budget use to activity progress. The coordinator will also negotiate and manage partnership contracts, supervise records, manage cash flows, ensure compliance with financial reporting, and represent SI in administrative meetings. Additionally, they will monitor employment laws and maintain relationships with national authorities, ensuring that the mission's financial operations are transparent and accountable.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector and a minimum of 5 years in a similar position. They should possess strong technical skills in financial management, including budgeting, monitoring, and reporting, as well as accounting skills and proficiency in relevant software. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Transversal skills such as strong communication, time management, and team management are also required. The candidate should be autonomous, organized, able to prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure. Strong computer skills are necessary for this role.

Educational Background:

The salary for this position starts at EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, the position offers a monthly per diem of USD 750 and a transportation allowance of USD 10
  • SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment. The organization implements a system of alternating work and time off, providing breaks every three months, along with a break allowance. Expatriates are also provided with a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations.
