Job Description
Job Posting Organization:
UNICEF, established as part of the United Nations system, is dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of children and adolescents. The organization advocates for visibility and addressing complex rights violations affecting children in Colombia. The Country Program for 2021-2024 is guided by the new United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), which directs the collective support of the UN to achieve the 2030 Agenda. UNICEF Colombia focuses on three cooperation priorities identified by the government and the UN system: supporting the implementation of the government policy 'Peace with Legality', addressing migration as a development factor, and providing technical assistance to accelerate the catalytic Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Job Overview:
The primary mission of UNICEF is to promote the rights of every child everywhere, in all aspects of the organization’s work, including programs, advocacy, and operations. The equity strategy emphasizes the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, translating this commitment into action. For UNICEF, equity means that all children have the opportunity to survive, develop, and reach their full potential without discrimination, bias, or favoritism. The organization recognizes that when a child has unequal opportunities in life, their rights are violated. Increasing evidence shows that investing in the health, education, and protection of the most disadvantaged citizens not only provides all children the chance to develop their full potential but also fosters sustained growth and stability in countries. This focus on equity is vital as it accelerates progress towards realizing the human rights of all children, which is UNICEF's universal mandate as established by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, while also supporting the equitable development of the nation. In this context, all processes related to fundraising, technology, best practices, and innovation are essential for mobilizing resources that support UNICEF's mission and reach across Colombia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the proper functioning of the Salesforce CRM and other donor data management systems, with assistance from local and regional support teams. This includes ensuring the effective operation of Salesforce and other systems that support various acquisition channels such as Telemarketing, Corporate Pathway To Pledge, Digital, and Face To Face. Additionally, assist in the segmentation processes of databases in Salescloud and Marketing Cloud for different audiences: Donors, Handraisers, Leads, etc.
  • Import and maintain the database effectively and timely to support financial and marketing processes. Generate information primarily from the Content Relations Management (CRM) and other internal databases to accompany the implementation of the Individual and Corporate Donor fundraising work plan. Import and export databases to and from the fundraising team’s data management systems. Assist in defining various database policies and procedures.
  • Establish effective procedures, directives, and instructions for database security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and confidentiality under the supervision of the Database Officer, in accordance with the organization's guidelines and regulations. • Collaborate effectively with the Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) team and other areas of UNICEF Colombia, such as Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to ensure efficient work processes, advisory functions, and general database support.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate accountability, adaptability, flexibility, creativity, sound judgment, decision-making skills, planning and organization abilities, professionalism, and self-management. These competencies are essential for effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of the position and contributing to the overall mission of UNICEF.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required, typically including a degree in fields related to social sciences, international relations, or a similar area that aligns with the mission of UNICEF and the specific duties of the position.

Experience:
Candidates should possess relevant experience in database management, fundraising, or related fields. Experience working with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is highly desirable. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools will also be beneficial.
