Job Overview:
The Director, Data Platform & Systems is tasked with shaping and executing the strategic roadmap for the organization's fundraising and marketing technology stack, data platform, and systems. This role is pivotal in enhancing platform strategy, managing projects, and improving processes that drive data observability and access. The Director will modernize integrations with digital marketing, advertising platforms, and ERP systems, while implementing solutions that facilitate a Unified Constituent View. The position ensures that data systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with both organizational and divisional goals, ultimately supporting resource mobilization, donor engagement, and operational excellence. The Director will lead cross-functional projects, optimize marketing technology, establish data governance frameworks, and manage vendor relationships, all while mentoring team members and fostering collaboration across the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for data platforms and related systems, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and fundraising objectives.
  • Assess and recommend emerging technologies to enable a Unified Constituent view.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance data infrastructure and integrations.
  • Optimize existing systems for improved performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Evaluate feasibility and implement a Customer Data Platform (CDP) to unify donor and engagement data.
  • Oversee marketing automation platforms for omnichannel orchestration and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop master segmentation for predictive segmentation.
  • Establish data governance frameworks, ensuring quality, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor data health, accuracy, and reliability of data pipelines and integrations. 1
  • Manage relationships with technology and platform vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery. 1
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation and process optimization. 1
  • Mentor team members and design training programs for data platforms and systems. 1
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, MarTech, CRM systems, or a related role.
  • At least 5 years of management experience leading and coaching teams.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience managing procurement systems and external vendors.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in computer science is preferred, indicating a higher level of expertise and understanding of the technical aspects of the role.

Experience:
Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, marketing technology, or customer relationship management systems. Additionally, at least 5 years of management experience is required, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop teams effectively. Experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives is essential, as is familiarity with data visualization tools and vendor management.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French or Spanish is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and communities.

Additional Notes:
This position involves domestic travel only, if needed. The role includes supervisory responsibilities, overseeing the Data Platform & Systems Team.
