Job Overview: The position involves adapting an existing English-language course on assistive technology in inclusive education to the Polish educational context. The selected contractor will ensure that the course is relevant, usable, and aligned with national frameworks and practices. This includes reviewing original materials, conducting desk research on Polish policies, consulting with stakeholders, and adapting content to engage the Polish audience effectively. The contractor will work closely with UNICEF to align with strategic priorities and will be responsible for submitting final adapted course materials in Polish, ready for integration into the online course.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review original and translated course materials, ensuring accuracy of terminology.
Conduct a desk review of Polish policies and practices related to inclusive education and assistive technology.
Consult with stakeholders such as the Ministry of National Education and experts to gather insights.
Adapt course content to reflect Polish regulations and terminology.
Collaborate with UNICEF to align with strategic priorities and incorporate feedback on drafts.
Test and validate course content with stakeholders and address their comments.
Submit final adapted course materials in Polish by the specified deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master's Degree in education or related fields.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in assistive technology applications in special and inclusive education.
Proven experience in designing programs on assistive technology in education.
Experience in developing high-quality evidence-based training materials.
Prior collaboration with international networks and recognition in relevant reports or publications.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in areas related to education, which is essential for understanding the complexities of assistive technology in educational settings.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, particularly in assistive technology applications within special and inclusive education contexts. This experience should include designing and delivering training programs and developing educational materials.
Languages: Fluency in Polish and English is mandatory, with the ability to adapt international frameworks to local cultural and legal contexts. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
