Job Overview: The Corporate Innovation Specialist position is designed to support the Innovation Team at ESCAP in enhancing its work culture and impact across the region. The role involves collaborating closely with the Innovation Team and various ESCAP divisions to design and implement innovative activities and training programs aimed at fostering a culture of innovation among ESCAP personnel. The specialist will be responsible for coaching project teams in applying methodologies such as Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design in product development and strategic planning. Additionally, the role includes assisting ESCAP personnel in utilizing digital tools to improve product usability and user satisfaction. The specialist will also oversee the management of digital innovation tools, ensuring effective onboarding and training for ESCAP staff. This position is crucial for driving innovation within ESCAP and ensuring that the organization remains responsive to the evolving needs of its stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Corporate Innovation Specialist include:
Designing and implementing innovation activities and training programs for ESCAP personnel.
Coaching project teams in applying Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design methodologies.
Assisting ESCAP personnel in innovating products and services using digital tools.
Managing digital innovation tools, including user onboarding and training.
Collaborating with the Business Automation Specialist to develop automation solutions.
Preparing and implementing the annual Seed Funding exercise for innovative projects.
Organizing the annual ESCAP Innovation Mapping Exercise and Innovation Awards.
Coordinating innovation events, labs, and training sessions.
Enhancing engagement through the Communication and Outreach Strategy. 1
Developing and maintaining a knowledge management system for the Innovation Team. 1
Managing administrative operations for the Innovation Team. 1
Recruiting and mentoring interns within the Innovation Team.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Corporate Innovation Specialist position include:

The contractor will receive a total fee of USD 44,900, paid monthly at a rate of USD 4,500 upon successful completion of assignments. Additional lump sum payments of USD 2,200 will be provided for specific deliverables. The contractor has the option to work remotely or relocate to Bangkok, with the ESCAP team facilitating visa procedures if relocation is chosen. However, no travel provisions are included in the contract, and any relocation costs will be the contractor's responsibility. The position is full-time, requiring the contractor to work Monday through Friday.
