Job Overview: The Operational Information Management & Performance Reporting Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's operational information management and performance reporting activities. This position is designed for individuals who can operate with a high degree of independence and are involved in complex analytical work. The officer will contribute to the establishment and presentation of a standard and consistent operating picture of WFP operations, which is essential for informed and timely decision-making across the organization. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including country offices, regional bureaus, and other UN agencies, to ensure the quality and consistency of information management and performance reporting. The officer will also be responsible for collating relevant information and data from various sources to enhance operational awareness and understanding of events that may impact humanitarian efforts. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Operational Information Management & Performance Reporting Officer include, but are not limited to:
Supporting staff in the assigned area to ensure adherence to standard OIM & PR procedures and templates, driving quality and consistency in information management and performance reporting across WFP.
Providing technical advice and oversight to regional bureaus and country offices on integrating OIM & PR policies into established systems.
Collating relevant information and data from media and local sources to facilitate the exchange of information and enhance operational awareness.
Assisting in the dissemination of political and humanitarian analysis related to WFP's responses and donor policies.
Analyzing and communicating essential elements of information regarding the operational environment and available resources.
Supporting the preparation of the Annual Country Report in collaboration with various functions within the country office.
Collaborating with counterparts internally and with other UN agencies to ensure consistency in humanitarian information.
Enhancing the capacity of WFP staff and partners in managing operational information through training and support.
Guiding and supervising junior staff, providing support for complex analyses and queries. 1
Assisting in emergencies by providing secretarial support to Operational Task Forces. 1
Contributing to corporate performance reporting improvements and drafting normative guidance as required. 1

Required Qualifications: The position requires an advanced university degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training may be acceptable. Candidates should possess specialized knowledge of information management best practices and techniques, along with a solid understanding of the theoretical background. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, including the ability to conduct substantive analysis and report writing. The ability to supervise and support junior team members is also required, as is a familiarity with UN/WFP specific processes and systems.

Languages: Fluency in both French and English is mandatory for this position, with a proficiency level of C.
