Job Overview:
The Project Management Associate will play a crucial role in the implementation of UNHCR's Data Innovation Project, which focuses on improving the process of obtaining informed consent from individuals featured in the organization's communications. This position involves managing day-to-day project activities, ensuring that objectives are met on time, and facilitating collaboration among various teams and stakeholders. The associate will work closely with the Associate Spanish Web Editor and the Data Innovation Team to oversee the project management cycle, including planning, execution, and quality assurance of deliverables. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ethical data management practices, ensuring that the project aligns with UNHCR's mission to protect the rights and dignity of refugees.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Management Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: overseeing the overall project management cycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and reporting requirements, supporting financial monitoring, leading the research phase of the project, conducting literature reviews and market analyses, consolidating findings into analytical reports, facilitating working sessions and co-creation workshops, identifying and liaising with potential suppliers, managing vendor relationships, coordinating user testing, preparing progress updates and presentations, and producing communication materials about the project. The associate will also be tasked with ensuring that the project is inclusive and accessible, particularly for the refugee population, and will be evaluated based on the quality and timeliness of their outputs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in project management, social sciences, communication, information technology, or a related field. They should have a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of multi-stakeholder projects. Proven experience in stakeholder management and preparing project documentation is essential. Desirable qualifications include experience in user experience (UX) design processes, familiarity with data protection and human rights standards, and previous experience working with UNHCR or in a multifunctional team environment.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as project management, social sciences, communication, or information technology is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for effective project management and stakeholder engagement.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in project management. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successfully managing projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and delivering results in a timely manner. Experience in preparing project documentation and familiarity with user experience design processes are highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with diverse stakeholders is crucial. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader audience.

This position is a home-based contract with part-time hours, allowing candidates to work from any country within the Americas. The contract is associated with the UNOPS LICA6 staff member type and is expected to start on December 1, 202
