Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that support the Investigations Section's mission. These include: assisting in the review of cases reported to OAI to determine appropriate referrals; drafting documents and communications related to ongoing investigations, such as investigation plans, witness statements, and reports; conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and subjects involved in investigations; identifying, collating, and analyzing potential evidence, which may involve open-source research and forensic reviews; editing investigation reports and other documents to ensure quality assurance; and undertaking additional related tasks as required. This role demands a high level of integrity, objectivity, and cultural sensitivity, as interns will be dealing with sensitive information and diverse individuals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the internship. They should be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent) or have graduated within one year of the internship start date. Additionally, candidates enrolled in a postgraduate degree program in relevant fields such as investigations, management, finance, law, international relations, or journalism are encouraged to apply. It is essential that candidates can commit to a full-time internship for six months starting on 1 February 202
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required, and experience in investigations or administrative law is desirable. Skills in copy-editing, proofreading, and conducting open-source research are also beneficial.

Educational Background:
