Job Overview:
The Chauffeur for the 2LERP project will be responsible for participating in pickups and deliveries related to the project. This role also includes general warehousing tasks as needed. The chauffeur is expected to perform all responsibilities safely, quickly, and efficiently. The position requires following the supervisor's instructions regarding daily deliveries or pickup/drop-off services, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition, and maintaining a professional attitude during trips. The chauffeur will also assist with loading and unloading packages, help passengers with their luggage, and plan the best routes to reach desired destinations using maps and GPS. The role demands a high level of attention to detail and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to handle customer complaints and ensure timely vehicle returns to the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The chauffeur will follow the supervisor's instructions for daily deliveries and services, check the vehicle's tires, engines, and seat belts to ensure they are functioning properly, and maintain optimal fluid levels. Daily cleaning of the vehicle's interior, including seats, carpets, dashboards, and floor mats, is required. The chauffeur will assist in loading and unloading packages, help passengers board and carry their luggage, and mentally plan the best routes to destinations. They will use maps and GPS for actual route planning, maintain a professional demeanor during trips, and transport company professionals to and from desired locations. Deliveries must be made with a correct understanding of destinations and relevant contacts, and the chauffeur will collect and relay customer complaints to the supervisor. The chauffeur is responsible for returning the vehicle to the company on time, changing tires, and performing minor repairs on the vehicle as needed. General and preventive maintenance of the vehicle must be conducted according to scheduled timelines, and the chauffeur may be required to wash the vehicle or take it to a washing station as per specific instructions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one year of relevant experience. An associate degree is preferred but not mandatory. The position requires a strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of using HF and VHF radios, flashlights with backup batteries, high lift jacks, winches, and 4x4 gear is essential. The chauffeur must be available on call 24/7 and demonstrate a commitment to the values and principles of CRS, including integrity, continuous improvement, relationship building, talent development, strategic thinking, accountability, and virtuous management.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. An associate degree is considered a plus, providing an advantage in the selection process. The educational background should reflect a commitment to learning and professional development, aligning with the values of CRS.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of relevant experience in a similar role. Candidates should demonstrate a history of safe driving practices, knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to navigate effectively in various environments. Experience in a humanitarian or development context is advantageous but not mandatory.

Languages:
Fluency in French and Swahili is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of English and other local languages is considered a plus, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and community members.

Additional Notes:
The position may require travel up to 25% of the time. The chauffeur is expected to be on call 24 hours a day.
