Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of all daily logistical activities to ensure that all programs and operations have the necessary goods and services at the right time. This role is crucial in supporting high-quality programs aimed at assisting poor and vulnerable populations. The coordinator will leverage their knowledge and experience to address logistical needs and challenges, implementing solutions while adhering to principles of responsible management, integrity, transparency, and accountability. The position requires collaboration with programming staff to meet pipeline requirements and to identify supply chain management challenges, providing recommendations for resolution. The coordinator will support the delivery operations from the arrival of goods in the country to the final distribution centers, ensuring compliance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local supply chain standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities including: coordinating with programming staff to ensure logistical services meet pipeline requirements; identifying supply chain management challenges and providing solutions; overseeing the delivery operations from the arrival of goods to final distribution; collaborating with the procurement team to ensure timely receipt of purchase requests with complete specifications; providing support and guidance to CRS staff and partners to ensure accurate and transparent implementation of logistical processes; coordinating and supervising activities related to the reception, transport, distribution, and disposal of goods; liaising with surveyors, C&F agents, transport managers, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and distribution of goods; managing security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, vehicle fleet, and IT resources; maintaining professional relationships within the team and fostering a strong team spirit; leading with integrity and accountability in line with CRS's code of conduct.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a BAC+3 degree in security, logistics, or a related field. They should have at least three years of experience in logistics and security, as well as three years of experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in implementing complex projects and resolving humanitarian access issues. International experience is a plus. Candidates should have a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and access issues, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with communication systems and equipment. They should also demonstrate the ability to conduct complex contextual analyses and identify trends.

Educational Background:
The position requires a minimum educational qualification of a BAC+3 degree in logistics, security, or a related discipline. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage logistics operations in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in logistics and security, with a strong background in the humanitarian sector. Experience in implementing complex projects and addressing humanitarian access challenges is crucial. Additionally, international experience is considered an advantage, as it provides a broader perspective on logistics operations in diverse contexts.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, along with proficiency in Swahili. Knowledge of English and other local languages is considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and communities.

Additional Notes:
