Job Overview:
The Finance Manager for the Building the Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector (BRACE) project plays a crucial role in the financial management of initiatives aimed at addressing climate change impacts on children and communities. This full-time position is integral to the Climate Change Division at Save the Children Australia, where the successful candidate will lead financial oversight and management of the BRACE project. The role involves close collaboration with country offices and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective financial planning, reporting, and compliance with organizational standards. The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, while also serving as the key liaison for all finance-related activities within the project. This position requires a strategic mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children affected by climate change.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Manager will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: leading the financial management of the BRACE project, ensuring compliance with financial deliverables and reporting requirements, maintaining robust financial controls, and collaborating with country teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts. The role also involves serving as the primary contact for all finance-related inquiries, liaising with internal teams and external partners, and providing financial capacity building and training to project teams. Additionally, the Finance Manager will be expected to analyze financial data, identify trends, and propose solutions to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy. The position requires flexibility to travel to country offices and engage with teams across various time zones, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess significant experience in humanitarian or development programming, with a strong background in financial and budget management. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and facilitation within diverse teams. Proficiency in Excel and data extraction is essential, along with the ability to develop comprehensive financial reports. Experience working in fast-paced environments and meeting strict deadlines is crucial, as is the flexibility to work outside of standard hours to accommodate global colleagues. Educational Background:
A relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required for this position. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
