Job Overview:
The Manager position at the World Bank Group is a pivotal role within the External and Corporate Relations (ECR) Vice-Presidency. This position is responsible for shaping the World Bank Group's brand identity and ensuring that all communications reflect a consistent and compelling narrative. The Manager will oversee Brand Strategy and Governance, Brand Creative, Experiential Marketing, and Thought Leadership/Tentpole Events. The role requires a strategic mindset to connect branding efforts with the organization's broader goals, ensuring that the World Bank Group's mission is effectively communicated to stakeholders. The Manager will lead initiatives that enhance the institution's reputation and outreach through innovative marketing strategies and impactful storytelling.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Manager will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including: developing and enforcing a robust brand strategy that articulates the One World Bank Group identity; leading the brand creative team to produce on-brand marketing materials and campaigns; creating immersive brand experiences through global events and digital activations; coordinating with subject-matter experts to turn thought leadership into compelling content; monitoring brand perception metrics and event success indicators; and managing partnerships related to brand and experiential marketing. The role also involves negotiating with external agencies and vendors, ensuring adherence to brand governance standards, and planning tentpole events that showcase the Bank's expertise.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in communications, journalism, international relations, public affairs, or related fields, along with 12 to 15 years of substantial professional experience in progressively complex roles. A proven track record in developing successful brand campaigns and managing large-scale events is essential. Candidates should have a deep understanding of brand strategy and visual identity systems, along with experience in maintaining brand consistency across various channels. Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple events and campaigns simultaneously are crucial, as is the capacity to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in a relevant field such as communications, journalism, international relations, or public affairs is required for this position. This educational background should provide the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to navigate the complexities of brand management and corporate communications within a global context.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 12 to 15 years of professional experience, with a focus on brand strategy, experiential marketing, and event management. Significant experience in planning and executing events or experiential marketing programs is necessary, along with a strategic mindset to connect branding activities with organizational goals. Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agencies is also essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. While no additional languages are specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages could be advantageous in a global organization like the World Bank Group.
