Job Overview: The Assistant aux Finances position at WFP is crucial for supporting the financial management and administrative functions of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant aux Finances include:
Compiling information from various sources to prepare financial reports related to budgets, accounting, and statistics.
Analyzing, controlling, and maintaining accounting entries and financial reports with minimal supervision.
Assisting in payroll preparation and processing other payments.
Preparing bank reconciliations and reviewing outstanding amounts receivable.
Verifying payment requests for compliance with regulations and confirming fund availability before preparing payment documents.
Monitoring and recording all expenditures in accordance with the approved budget to ensure correct allocation and timely processing of supplier payments.
Reviewing and reconciling account statements.
Ensuring that invoices and payments are processed correctly.
Maintaining an online register of all invoices and payment transfers. 1
Assisting in the preparation of budgetary, accounting, and financial reports. 1
Preparing checks and ensuring proper filing. 1
Implementing recommendations from audit missions. 1
Managing the petty cash of the office and ensuring data entry. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Assistant aux Finances position include:
Completion of secondary education.
A university degree in accounting, finance, administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, and knowledge of WFP software is an asset.

Additional Notes: The position is a fixed-term contract for a duration of 12 months, based in Gonaives, Haiti. The role is classified at Grade G
