Job Overview:
The logistics-officer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Officer will coordinate the implementation of all daily logistics activities to ensure that all programs and operations have the necessary goods and services delivered in a timely manner. This role is crucial for supporting high-quality programs aimed at assisting poor and vulnerable populations. The officer will leverage their knowledge and experience to address logistical needs and challenges, implementing solutions while adhering to principles of responsible management, integrity, transparency, and accountability. The position requires collaboration with programming staff to ensure logistical services meet pipeline requirements and to identify supply chain management challenges, providing recommendations for resolution. The officer will also support the delivery operations from the arrival of goods in the country to final distribution centers, ensuring compliance with CRS and donor regulations as well as international and local supply chain standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating with relevant programming staff to ensure logistical services meet pipeline requirements. They will assist in identifying supply chain management challenges and provide recommendations for addressing these issues. The officer will support the implementation of delivery operations from the arrival of goods in the country to warehouses and final distribution centers, ensuring compliance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local supply chain standards. They will collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely receipt of purchase requests with complete specifications, delivery schedules, and other conditions, including labeling and branding. Regular support and guidance will be provided to CRS staff and partners to ensure accurate, consistent, and transparent implementation of logistics processes related to goods, while adhering to safety, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and health requirements. The officer will also coordinate and supervise activities related to the receipt, transport, distribution, and disposal of goods, liaising with surveyors, C&F agents, transport managers, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and distribution of goods. Additionally, the officer will manage security, oversee vehicle fleet management, and handle IT equipment management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a BAC+3 degree in security, logistics, or a related field. They should have at least three years of experience in logistics and security, as well as three years of experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in implementing complex projects and resolving humanitarian access issues. International experience is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and issues related to humanitarian access. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and communication systems, including Team, WhatsApp, and the use of communication equipment (SAT phone, radio, internet) is required. The ability to conduct complex contextual analyses and identify trends is essential.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement is a BAC+3 degree in security, logistics, or a related discipline. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of logistics and security in humanitarian contexts.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in logistics and security, with a strong background in the humanitarian sector. Experience in implementing complex projects and addressing humanitarian access challenges is essential. International experience is considered an advantage, as it provides a broader perspective on logistics operations in diverse contexts.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, with proficiency in Swahili also required. Knowledge of English and other local languages is considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and communities.
