Duties and Responsibilities:
The Health Coordinator will be responsible for a range of duties, including:

• Developing activity plans for health programming in Gaza and overseeing the implementation of secondary health care activities in supported hospitals.
• Coordinating with program managers and partners to distribute medical supplies and establish referral pathways between health facilities.
• Participating in supervision activities to ensure compliance with RI's quality benchmarks and infection prevention and control measures.
• Conducting formal and on-the-job training for hospital staff based on identified training needs.
• Contributing to the development of concept notes and proposals to expand health programming in Gaza.
• Documenting lessons learned and success stories in collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team.
• Representing RI at health sub-cluster meetings and building relationships with external partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Nursing, along with at least 5 years of experience in public health within the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), including 2 years of clinical experience in secondary health care. The ability to transfer technical knowledge and skills, along with experience in coaching and capacity building, is essential. Excellent English writing skills and good Arabic speaking skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Nursing. This foundational education is critical for understanding the complexities of health care delivery and management in a humanitarian context, particularly in regions affected by conflict and instability.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public health, specifically within the context of the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT).
