Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Assistant – Data Analyst position within the World Bank Treasury is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to the financial operations of a leading international development institution. This role focuses on enhancing data analytics capabilities within the Treasury Operations Department, specifically in the Cash Management and Banking Relations teams. Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the Treasury Operations in Sofia. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing data analytics solutions using SQL and Python, developing reports and dashboards with business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau, and collaborating with business and technology teams to automate processes. Additionally, the role involves conducting requirements gathering sessions, documenting data standards, and providing training to team members. In terms of cash management, the candidate will perform daily cash planning, manage banking relationships, and execute foreign exchange trades as necessary. The position also requires participation in ad-hoc projects and initiatives within the Treasury and World Bank Group.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least three years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with one year of experience. Professional certifications such as CTP, CFA, or FRM are advantageous. Fluency in English is required, with excellent communication skills being essential. Proven experience in data analytics and visualization, particularly with SQL, Python, and business intelligence platforms, is necessary. The ability to identify and implement process automation solutions is also critical, along with strong technical proficiency in Excel and database management.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering is required. A Master’s degree in one of these fields is preferred and can substitute for some professional experience. Professional certifications in finance or analytics are considered a plus and enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of professional experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, or one year for those with a Master’s degree. Experience in data analytics, financial services, and familiarity with Treasury operations will be beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Bulgarian is preferred but not required. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly for roles that involve international collaboration.
