Job Overview: As the Operations Manager Atlas Logistique, you will be responsible for strengthening logistics activities in the North Kivu region. Your role will involve overseeing project managers, ensuring the implementation of activities according to established timelines, and maintaining the quality of these activities. You will be based in Goma and will report directly to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director while working functionally with the Technical Reference for the logistics platform. Your mission will include managing and monitoring platform activities, ensuring capacity building, defining and tracking platform strategy, representing and coordinating externally, monitoring the evolving context, supervising project security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, managing the Atlas project team, and ensuring reporting and capitalization related to the projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor platform activities and capacity building initiatives.
Ensure the quality of platform activities and capacity building efforts.
Define and track the strategy for the platform.
Represent and coordinate externally on behalf of the Area Manager or Country Director.
Monitor the evolving context and analyze humanitarian needs in the area.
Supervise the security of project activities in close collaboration with the security manager and HAS teams.
Manage the team responsible for Atlas projects.
Ensure reporting and capitalization related to the projects.
Experience in management and ability to work within a multicultural team.
Recognized ability to develop partnerships and good knowledge of humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
Experience in managing logistics services and understanding of the Atlas mandate.
Strong negotiation, external representation, and coordination skills.
Proficiency in French and English is required.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background in project management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, although specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated in the job description.
