Job Overview:
The Business Transformation Officer (Data Specialist) position is crucial for WFP as it focuses on generating data-driven analyses and insights that support decision-making processes. The role involves working independently or as part of a team to develop innovative data analysis tools and products. The officer will be responsible for processing and analyzing data using a variety of statistical tools and methodologies, which will aid in generating strategic insights and delivering services to beneficiaries in alignment with WFP's strategic objectives. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect and clean data from primary or secondary sources to ensure the accuracy and reliability of databases and data systems in alignment with established guidelines, standards, and processes.
• Provide feedback to system sponsors for continuous improvements to data quality, system performance, and adherence to standards.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret data using statistical methods and basic machine learning techniques to inform reliable data-driven models.
• Contribute to the development and utilization of data quality monitoring tools to improve accuracy, consistency, and adherence to best practices in data management.
• Monitor and evaluate data analytics performance to assess the effectiveness of tools, models, and processes, providing recommendations for improvement to ensure high-quality results.
• Develop reports, dashboards, or other data visualization tools to effectively summarize findings and convey information to inform decision-making.
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements, ensuring that data analysis outputs align with operational goals and decision-making processes.

• Contribute to the design and delivery of training and capacity development initiatives to strengthen effective data management practices, using dashboards, systems, and tools. 1
• Provide technical advice to managers and employees on data policies, processes, and systems to ensure they are correctly applied and optimally used across teams. 1
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis, contributing to the delivery of innovative solutions and fostering a forward-thinking approach. 1
• Guide and supervise more junior staff, acting as a point of referral and supporting them with analysis and queries. 1
• Implement innovative solutions in accordance with WFP's policies, ensuring compliance with guidelines and procedures for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and other innovative data solutions. 1
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires the completion of an Advanced University Degree (Master’s or equivalent) in fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Management, or any relevant field. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in data manipulation and analysis, with a focus on statistical methods and data structures. Additionally, the role demands a comprehensive understanding of data governance and ethical data usage, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed an Advanced University Degree (Master’s or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Information Management. This educational background is essential to equip the candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in the role of Business Transformation Officer (Data Specialist).

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in managerial or supervisory roles related to foundational concepts in data manipulation and analysis. Within these 3 years, at least 1 year of experience must be post-graduation, demonstrating a solid track record in data analysis and management.

Languages:
Fluency in both spoken and written English and Bangla is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and beneficiaries.

This position is offered under a Service Contract for a duration of 12 months, specifically targeting Bangladeshi Nationals.
