Job Overview: The ICT Associate position at UNICEF Ukraine involves providing comprehensive ICT support to ensure effective communication and efficient service delivery within the organization. The role includes first-level support for ICT incidents, managing service requests, and maintaining ICT inventory and documentation. The associate will also assist in routine ICT administration tasks, including system installations, user support, and data extraction from databases. Duties and Responsibilities: The ICT Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Providing first-level support by receiving, processing, and logging service requests.
Managing the lifecycle of ICT incidents using a service management tool.
Supporting conferencing and audiovisual equipment as needed.
Creating and assigning work orders.
Maintaining and updating electronic and paper files, as well as internal databases.
Managing ICT inventory and documentation.
Installing, upgrading, configuring, and maintaining ICT systems and tools.
Assisting in the operation and monitoring of server systems.
Providing second-level user support and troubleshooting. 1
Performing data extraction and backups of servers. 1
Offering on-the-job orientation for users in ICT systems.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed secondary education, supplemented with formal training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Engineering. A minimum of six years of practical work experience in information technology is required, with systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. A bachelor's degree may substitute for three years of experience, while a master's degree may replace an additional two years. Experience in user assistance for IT products and services, as well as practical knowledge of various computer platforms and applications, is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps is considered an asset.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes completion of secondary education, along with formal training in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Engineering. Higher education degrees may substitute for years of required work experience, emphasizing the importance of both formal education and practical experience in the field.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of six years of practical work experience in information technology, which should include systematic methods of troubleshooting and problem-solving. Candidates with a bachelor's degree may have three years of experience waived, while those with a master's degree may have an additional two years waived. Experience in providing technical and business customer support is essential, along with a working knowledge of various computer platforms and applications.
Languages: Fluency in English and Ukrainian is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment.
