Job Overview:
The IT Officer, Business Solutions I position at the World Bank involves a critical role in the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit. This unit is dedicated to leveraging transformative information and technologies to support the World Bank Group's mission of ending extreme poverty and enhancing shared prosperity. The successful candidate will serve as a Product Owner, focusing on AI innovation and the delivery of scalable AI products that meet user needs and business objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of Agile product management, where the incumbent will translate business needs into product requirements, define product vision, create product roadmaps, and manage the product backlog. The position emphasizes collaboration with business partners, product managers, and technical teams to ensure effective product delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IT Officer, Business Solutions I include engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges, creating and maintaining the product vision and roadmap, managing the product backlog, and driving product execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering regular status updates to clients, identifying and addressing risks, and planning updates and future releases using a data-driven and agile approach. Additionally, the role involves preparing effort and cost estimates, overseeing all stages of product development, leading user acceptance testing, and developing measurable product KPIs aligned with business goals. The Product Owner will also actively monitor client needs, industry trends, and user feedback to ensure the product remains relevant and effective.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7 years of product management experience. Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is essential, including knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing. A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing product strategies and managing the full product lifecycle is required, along with at least 3 years of experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Recommended certifications in SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager are also beneficial. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully launching technology products in large-scale environments and managing vendor engagements.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in business, computer science, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in product management (7 years) will also be considered. The emphasis on advanced degrees reflects the complexity of the role and the need for a strong foundation in both technical and business disciplines.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master's degree, or 7 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. This experience should encompass product management, particularly in developing and operationalizing product strategies, managing the full product lifecycle, and working within Agile frameworks. Candidates should also have experience in AI-driven solution development and a solid understanding of IT development lifecycles and methodologies.
