Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst position at IFC is designed to support the Egypt Country Management Unit (CMU) in various activities, including the development of strategic analysis and proposals, aggregation of sub-regional briefs and data, and overall support to ensure that IFC fulfills its mandate. The role requires a self-starter who can take initiative and manage a diverse range of tasks while thriving in a small, entrepreneurial team environment. The candidate will work independently with different stakeholders under the supervision of the Country Officer and Head of the Office, contributing to the preparation of IFC and WBG strategy documents, assisting in the preparation of briefing materials for conferences and events, conducting analytical research related to Egypt’s private sector reform program, and supporting the monitoring of key sectoral strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Operations Analyst include supporting the preparation of IFC and WBG strategy documents such as Country Partnership Frameworks and Country Private Sector Diagnostics. The analyst will assist in preparing briefing materials for conferences and senior management visits, conduct analytical and content research related to Egypt’s private sector reform program, and support the monitoring and follow-up on the implementation of key strategies. Additionally, the analyst will provide research and analysis support across various sectors and clients, conduct industry and market research to identify trends and opportunities, assist in stakeholder engagement activities, and perform other duties related to the effective management of IFC’s program in Egypt.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in economics, business, public policy, finance, or a related field, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, or private sector development. A good understanding of the Egyptian private sector landscape, including key business drivers and reform priorities, is essential. Experience in supporting or coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders is also required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams are necessary, as well as proven research and analysis capabilities, and the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations. Experience with international organizations and governmental agencies is advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field such as economics, business, public policy, or finance. This advanced degree is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to perform the duties of the Operations Analyst effectively.

Experience:
The position requires 2-4 years of relevant experience in fields such as consulting, project management, or private sector development. Candidates should have experience supporting or coordinating projects that involve multiple stakeholders and workstreams, demonstrating their ability to manage complex tasks and collaborate effectively with various partners.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Additionally, proficiency in Arabic (both speaking and writing) is also required, as the role involves significant interaction with local stakeholders and government counterparts. Knowledge of other languages may be considered a plus but is not mandatory.
