Job Overview:
The position involves designing a knowledge product that highlights the Women and Girl Safe Spaces (WGSS) model implemented by UNFPA Egypt. This model has been crucial in addressing the reproductive health and gender-based violence needs of refugee women and girls, especially in light of the increased protection needs following the 2023 Sudan conflict. The consultant will be responsible for creating a visually compelling booklet that summarizes the WGSS approach, its services, and achievements since 201
  • The final product will be designed in both English and Arabic, catering to a diverse audience that includes UN agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners interested in social protection and humanitarian response. The consultant will work closely with the UNFPA Humanitarian Team to ensure that the content is accurately represented and visually appealing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be expected to perform several key duties, including:
  • Designing two distinct layout concepts for the knowledge product, including a cover page, graphs, maps, and visuals based on the content provided by UNFPA Egypt.
  • Integrating existing visuals associated with UNFPA’s branding into the overall layout to maintain consistency.
  • Reviewing and selecting relevant images from provided folders to enhance the design.
  • Proposing different sizes and formats for optimal information display in a booklet format.
  • Conducting rounds of feedback with UNFPA to finalize the design.
  • Developing the final graphic design based on feedback, ensuring it is print-ready and digitally accessible.
  • Delivering two high-quality design files for both English and Arabic versions suitable for print and online distribution.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires proven experience in graphic design, specifically over 5 years in designing knowledge products and information materials for humanitarian or development organizations. A strong portfolio showcasing infographics, reports, advocacy materials, and other visual communication products is essential. Familiarity with gender issues, GBV, and humanitarian contexts is highly desirable. The consultant must demonstrate the ability to create visually impactful, accessible, and inclusive designs that align with advocacy objectives.
