Job Overview:
The Knowledge Management Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting UNICEF's Programme Strategy and Coordination Hub (PSC Hub) as it implements its Future Focused Initiative (FFI). This initiative aims to enhance the organization's effectiveness and efficiency in response to current geopolitical and economic challenges. The consultant will contribute to four interrelated areas within the PSC Hub, focusing on structural evolution, inter-divisional collaboration, and the implementation of strategic workstreams. The consultant's expertise in knowledge management will be essential for facilitating the transition to new operational models and ensuring that UNICEF's humanitarian interventions continue to save lives and support long-term recovery. The consultant will work closely with various task teams and stakeholders to analyze data, develop knowledge transfer plans, and support strategic planning processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's primary responsibilities will include:
  • Contributing to the implementation of the Future Focused Initiative (FFI) by supporting the Hub's engagement with six implementation task teams, conducting data analysis, and mapping use cases for the development of a digital platform (TAHub).
  • Utilizing the FFI data compendium to inform decision-making processes related to workforce management and programmatic coordination.
  • Facilitating the knowledge management transition by developing common standards and templates for capturing knowledge across divisions.
  • Supporting other strategic workstreams within the PSC Hub, including reviewing quality programming in humanitarian action and designing intervention matrices related to National Committees. The consultant will be expected to deliver specific outputs by set deadlines, including data analysis reports, knowledge transfer plans, and strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline. They should have at least five years of experience in developing digital platforms that manage complex global business processes. A strong understanding of knowledge management principles within UNICEF is essential, along with excellent facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual events. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills is also required. Additionally, candidates must complete their profiles in UNICEF's e-Recruitment system and submit a financial proposal reflecting the costs associated with the deliverables outlined in the terms of reference.

Educational Background:
