The organization operates in over 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities, focusing on responding to the world's most severe humanitarian crises. The IRC's mission is to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to individuals affected by conflict and disaster. With a workforce dedicated to delivering lasting impact, the IRC aims to help millions regain control over their lives and strengthen their communities, embodying a force for humanity.

Job Overview:
The Data and Reporting Specialist position is crucial for ensuring that cases involving unaccompanied children are meticulously tracked and closed. This role involves collecting and entering data into the appropriate reporting systems for funders, particularly focusing on Influx Care Facility (ICF) cases for unaccompanied children released from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) shelters. The specialist will also support the ImportaMí team, which provides vital information services to unaccompanied children and their sponsors, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their safety and access to services. Collaboration with the Children’s Legal Services Department is essential, as the specialist will work closely with legal staff to ensure accurate reporting and documentation of cases. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while contributing to a significant cause.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data and Reporting Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: inputting event data into spreadsheets and various reporting software and databases for the Children’s Legal Services Remote and ImportaMí teams; reviewing data entered by team members to ensure accuracy and completeness; ensuring timely data entry in compliance with funding requirements and preparing monthly reports; maintaining confidentiality in accordance with legal ethics rules; and performing other related tasks as needed. The role requires a strong commitment to accuracy and deadlines, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree, although this is preferred rather than strictly required. A minimum of one year of experience in a non-profit legal setting or working with unaccompanied children and/or immigrant families is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting reporting deadlines. Proficiency in computer literacy, database management, and analysis is necessary, along with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and other database/reporting systems. Familiarity with Unaccompanied Children’s Referral systems (UCORD and UCLS) is considered a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills are crucial, as is the ability to prioritize projects with keen attention to detail.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree, which is preferred. This educational foundation should ideally be complemented by coursework or experience related to social services, legal studies, or a similar field that supports the work with unaccompanied children and immigrant families.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of relevant experience, particularly in a non-profit legal environment or in roles that involve working with unaccompanied children and immigrant families. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to manage data effectively and work within a legal framework, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and reporting requirements.

Languages:
Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing skills. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication with unaccompanied children and their sponsors, as well as for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This is a fully remote position, which allows the Data and Reporting Specialist to work from any of the 50 U.S. states. The position is anticipated to be funded through July 31, 2026, with continuation subject to ongoing funding availability. The compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 to $29.48 per hour, depending on various factors such as labor market conditions, job type, internal equity, and the candidate's experience and skills. The IRC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including sick days, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 403b retirement savings plan, and an Employee Assistance Program. The IRC is committed to equal opportunity employment, considering all applicants based on merit without discrimination.
