Job Overview: The Livelihoods and Economic Inclusion Program Analyst will report to the Deputy Representative at the UNFPA Ethiopia Country Office. This role involves overseeing the implementation of KOICA-funded project activities aimed at strengthening resilience among displaced populations, particularly focusing on youth. The analyst will lead programmatic management, ensuring that project results are achieved within the stipulated time and budget. Responsibilities include monitoring, reporting, and managing project documentation, as well as coordinating with various stakeholders to address logistical and administrative needs. The position requires a proactive approach to program management, ensuring alignment with UNFPA and UNHCR priorities, and providing technical guidance to field locations. The analyst will also be involved in knowledge management and visibility efforts, working closely with communication teams to document best practices and organize learning sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Livelihoods and Economic Inclusion Program Analyst will have a comprehensive set of duties including:
Ensuring the consistent implementation of KOICA-funded project activities, aligning with UNFPA and UNHCR priorities.
Implementing programmatic aspects and monitoring tasks, providing technical guidance to field locations.
Drafting analysis and monitoring documents, indicators, and periodic reports, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with established policies and standards.
Supporting the Program Implementation team in meeting KOICA’s requirements, including follow-up meetings and visibility actions.
Collaborating with communication teams to consolidate and document best practices from program implementation.
Compiling reports as per donor requirements and organizing learning sessions on project performance.
Engaging in campaigns and mobilization efforts for youth resilience building interventions, ensuring youth leadership and meaningful engagement throughout the program.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in fields such as international development, livelihood development, gender and youth development, monitoring and evaluation, or a related area relevant to development assistance. Additionally, a minimum of two years of relevant experience in programs aimed at building resilience among youth affected by displacement is required. Experience should include international work with youth advocacy, capacity building, project writing, and outreach to marginalized populations.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as international development, livelihood development, gender and youth development, or monitoring and evaluation. This advanced education is essential to equip the candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage and implement the program.
Experience: The position requires at least two years of relevant experience in program management, specifically in initiatives aimed at building resilience among youth affected by displacement. Candidates should have experience in international contexts, demonstrating skills in youth work, advocacy, capacity building, and project writing, particularly in reaching marginalized populations.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Korean is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute to program objectives.
