Job Overview:
The Driver position at WFP in Abidjan is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of authorized personnel and goods. The Driver will report directly to the Fleet Manager and indirectly to the Administration Officer or their designated representative. The ideal candidate will be expected to maintain a high standard of vehicle upkeep, ensure compliance with travel regulations, and assist in the smooth operation of logistics and transportation services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver's primary responsibilities include: transporting authorized personnel safely and efficiently, assisting with simple translations when necessary, delivering various items while adhering to authorized routes and UN regulations, welcoming official personnel and visitors at airports or other entry points, helping them with visa and customs formalities, maintaining accurate vehicle maintenance logs, providing daily mechanical status updates to supervisors, ensuring vehicles are clean and in good working order, conducting timely maintenance checks, ensuring all travel authorizations are present in the vehicle, reporting mechanical issues promptly, adhering to delivery regulations and reporting any incidents to supervisors, performing simple administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and stock management as needed, and supporting the administrative functions of the office by delivering or collecting items and managing correspondence.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type they will operate. They should have a strong understanding of road safety regulations and the ability to navigate effectively within the local area. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to WFP's values and mission, showcasing integrity, collaboration, and a dedication to humanitarian work. Previous experience in a similar role within a humanitarian or international organization is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the local language and culture.

Educational Background:

Languages:
