Job Overview:
The Senior IT Assistant, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security, Risk and Compliance position is integral to the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) at the World Bank Group. This role involves collaborating with security professionals to develop AI applications and automation playbooks that support the security operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing threat management solutions using a data-driven and Agile approach, continuously identifying and implementing necessary tools and infrastructure to enhance the threat management program. The position requires a strong focus on developing applications and APIs using various technologies, including Python, Power Platform, and Azure, while ensuring security best practices are adhered to. The role also emphasizes the importance of maintaining code quality, keeping up with the latest technologies, and innovating to improve application performance and user experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior IT Assistant include planning and executing the implementation of threat management solutions, developing scripts and tools to strengthen security operations, and building applications and APIs using Python and other technologies. The candidate will design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, optimize cloud resources, and utilize OpenAI's GPT models. They will also create RESTful APIs, manage SQL and NoSQL databases, and implement security best practices to protect data. Additionally, the role involves maintaining code quality, researching new technologies, and identifying process improvements. The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with various teams, communicate effectively, and contribute to a risk-aware culture within the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related field. Direct experience working with large datasets and log analysis tools is essential, along with demonstrable knowledge of enterprise environments, network protocols, and cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with scripting languages, cloud technologies, and DevOps tools is also required. The ideal candidate should have experience in Agile environments and be able to work well under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to learn new skills independently are crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related field is required for this position. Experience:
Candidates should have direct experience working with large datasets and log analysis tools, as well as familiarity with enterprise environments and cloud platforms.
